THROUGH MUSIC,
WE CONNECT
At Music In Mind, our tailored approach to therapy ensures that your individual strengths, needs and personality are taken into account. We provide quality, evidence-based music therapy services to individuals, groups and organisations.
Our music therapists are registered allied health professionals with university qualifications in music therapy. In Australia, registered music therapists (RMTs) are experienced musicians with specialist training in understanding the effects music has on the brain, mind and body. RMTs use music and its elements to support a broad range of health, wellbeing and functional goals.
Music therapy can support physical, emotional and mental health as well as communication, memory, cognition, sleep and pain management.
People of all ages, circumstances and abilities can access music therapy. You don't need any prior musical training.
We are a non-registered NDIS provider. Self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants are able to use their funding to access music therapy. Please visit our FAQs page to find out more, or the referral page to make a referral using our secure online form.
What is music therapy? How can it help?
Music therapy is an evidence-based allied health profession that can support people across the lifespan, from newborns to the elderly, in a broad range of situations.
Music therapy is unique in its ability to engage, motivate and bring fun to all different types of therapy, in a way that is meaningful and brings value to individuals' lives. Music is a non-invasive form of therapy that is a powerful tool to effect change.

At Music In Mind, trained therapists support clients to achieve their own personalised health, wellness or functioning goals through the development of tailored musical experiences and an empathetic and authentic human relationship.
