Scott Zimmer - Drums


Scott has just returned from performing overseas with the Disney company. Previous to that he held a teaching post at a tertiary music school in Beijing. Scott studied a Bachelor of music at Monash University and following that was awarded a scholarship to study in Prato, Italy, where he studied composition with Italian musicians. He has performed in Melbourne and around the world in various groups for the past 15 years and has been teaching drums professionally for the past 12 years. Career highlights include playing alongside John butler and Missy Higgins.   




Andrew has been a professional musician for over 10 years and has worked both internationally and nationally with many bands and as a solo musician. Andrew has a Bachelor in music and a bachelor in Education from Monash University and has taught guitar privately and at many victorian schools for the last 8 years. Andrew is a friendly and fun teacher who teaches guitar to all ages and abilities, from Jazz and classical through to rock and pop.









Paul studied jazz and improvisation at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and Monash University. He studied under the tuition of some of Melbourne's  supreme jazz musicians- Jamie Oehlers, Julien Wilson, Tony Gould and Scott Tinkler. Paul has performed in numerous original bands and jazz bands over the years, giving him the opportunity to tour and play all over Australia and the world. Paul has been teaching saxophone since 2005 both privately and in primary and secondary schools. Many of his students have been awarded high marks for AMEB and VCE exams. Paul performs regularly in jazz bands and is involved in many other musical endeavours.







Tiffanni originates from Melbourne, Australia, however just recently completed a double Bachelor degree in Music and Performing Arts at Bishop’s University in Quebec. Prior to this she studied at the Victorian College of the Arts and Monash University in Melbourne. Tiffanni has played and studied with notable jazz musicians such as John Taylor, Senator Eugene Wright, Dave Douglas, Myra Melford and George Garzone. Tiffanni has lead her own jazz quartet playing original material and also composes for theatre. She is currently studying Honours in Music Performance at Monash University.





Anna Gilkison - Vocals


Anna Gilkison is an established jazz vocalist with over 10 years performance experience and is one of Melbourne’s most dynamic and in-demand performers. A fully qualified and practising music teacher, holding both a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) and a Graduate Diploma of Education, she specialises in both one-on-one contemporary voice lessons and secondary classroom music. Anna successfully translates her knowledge and skills to students of all ages and abilities and is not limited to vocal lessons. She also teaches piano, music theory, stage craft, composition, and improvisation techniques.




Alex Yeap - Bass


Alex Yeap has been playing bass guitar and upright bass professionally for 7 years, and has been teaching for the last 5. After studying for his Bachelor of Music (Jazz) at Monash University he has made a career as a freelance session musician, performing all over Melbourne in addition to a 3 month stint at Singapore╩╝s newest 5 star hotel. Memorable performances include working with Kate Cebrano and frequent gigs with members of the Cat Empire. Alex recently left teaching at his alma mater, the prestigious Haileybury College and continues to teach bass at Canterbury Girls╩╝ Secondary College, where he has been employed since 2008.






Having studied voice since the age of seven, Liz Violi has become a versatile and well rounded singer and performer. She studied classical voice up to the age of 18 and went on to complete a Bachelor of Music
with a focus on Jazz and Contemporary singing at Monash University in Melbourne. She has recently added a Diploma of Education (Secondary) to her qualifications. Liz has been teaching voice lessons as well as
theory and ensemble practice for the last seven years both privately and in schools across Melbourne. She performs regularly with varied ensembles and has performed extensively throughout the country. Liz is
an enthusiastic teacher who encourages students of all ages to find their own sound and experiment with different styles and genres.






Shelley began playing the flute at the age of 11 and went on to complete a Bachelor of Music Performance at The Victorian College of the Arts. She has performed in many ensemble settings such as flute choirs, symphony orchestras, and wind ensembles but her greatest passion is playing in intimate chamber music settings. Shelley has had a wide variety of experience as a Classical flautist, including appearances at various music festivals around Australia, live radio broadcasts and many concerts around Melbourne, and performs in the Jade duo, with Classical Guitarist, Stuart Fisher. Shelley teaches flute and theory at several music schools around Melbourne, where she has guided students through all of the A.M.E.B grades and taught students of all ages.
